The Arts Palette is extremely grateful to its advisory group:
Christine Benoodt is an independent curator, art collection manager and appraiser whose interest in supporting and developing Chicago’s artistic strength aligns well with The Arts Palette’s mission to connect artists and patrons. She received her undergraduate degree in Art from Grinnell College and moved to Chicago to pursue work as a painter and illustrator. Soon realizing that she was a much more effective businessperson, she moved into the graphic arts, first in publishing, then in advertising. After almost 20 years leading creative production teams in the marketing communications business to award-winning success, Chris returned to her first passion in fine arts to launch a second career. In 2012 she obtained a Masters in Art History with Distinction from Christie’s London/University of Glasgow and completed a certificate course at Sotheby’s London in Art Law. She subsequently completed internships at Salon Vert, a private contemporary gallery in London, and The Haven Art Group, a Chicago firm specializing in art collection management and fine art insurance claims adjustment. She has been a volunteer Master Docent at Chicago’s Loyola University Museum of Art for eight years.
